ARTIST RESIDENCY 

Prairie Grove, Arkansas

Mountain Studio provides time, space, solitude and close proximity to nature for creative research and practice through a simple structure of an independent studio residency. Resident Artists are encouraged to explore The Mountain to discover what insights it can lend to their creative practice. Mountain Studio is not medium specific and is open to exploration in all ways of working; physical, digital, written and beyond. This can include research and refinement of existing projects. A space for new ideas and projects to come life. Explorative non linear ways of creating and play are also welcome. What is created and how is entirely up to the artist. Each residency will end with an open house style event, this could be an exhibition, workshop, screening, artist talk or anything the artist imagines. 

Operating on a small scale and outside of institutional frameworks the residency is an artist run initiative hosted in the home and studio of Anna and Chris Stroud-Schultz. The Mountain considers hospitality as a form of artistic support, creating space for curiosity and creative growth.
