ARTIST RESIDENCY

Mountain Studio is an independent artist run studio residency. Providing time, space, solitude with close proximity to nature for creative research and exploration. Artists are invited to explore The Mountain. Discovering what insights it will lend to their creative practice. Mountain Studio is open to exploration in all ways of making. Supporting research and refinement of existing bodies of work, a space for new ideas and projects to come life or simply a space in nature to reconnect with the creative practice. 

Operating on a small scale and outside of typical institutional frameworks the residency is an artist run initiative hosted in the home and studio of Anna and Chris Stroud-Schultz. With this in mind, Mountain Studio considers hospitality as a form of artistic support, creating space for curiosity and creative growth ☺
